Investment Objective
The scheme aims to generate long term capital growth by investing in a
diversified portfolio predominantly consisting of equity & equity related
instruments of large cap companies.
Investment Strategy
Indian markets have been very volatile in last 12-15 months. Global
factors such as trade war etc are adding to fire. In such situation, it makes
sense to stick with blue-chip companies with proven track record. These
companies have proven track record and pricing power.
This serves well for conservative investors
looking for safer options that deliver returns greater superior than other
asset classes in long term yet keeping risk relatively lower than Small and Midcap
Funds.
In an interview,
in month of February 2019, Mr. Shreyash Devalkar (Fund Manager- Axis Bluechip
Fund) was asked about the higher allocation to financials in the fund.
He said that
after demonetization, they believed that the financial sector would be a great
beneficiary due to huge amount of liquidity flowing in.
Fund returns shows that Mr Devalkar was right.
Fund has been a consistent performer over last 5 years.
Fund Manager Background
Mr. Devalkar is a B.Tech from UDCT Mumbai and PGDM
(Management) from JBIMS Mumbai University
