Banks to remain closed for 4 consecutive days in September and also in November, know these dates here

Don’t keep your work pending with banks, especially during last week of September. Banks will remain close following call for strike from banking unions namely All India Bank Officers' Confederation, All India Bank Officers' Association, Indian National Bank Officers' Congress and National Organization of Bank.

Protesting against the government recent decision of merging 10 public sector banks, a two-day national strike call has been given by the bank unions on September 26 and September 27. Thereafter banks will be closed further 2 days as 28th being last Saturday and 29th a Sunday.

This means banking services may get severely affected including ATM services.

Strike in November

As per statement from The Indian Banks Association (IBA), all banks may proceed on strike in November too. This strike may in indefinite as per statement. Unions have also put forth their demands for immediate introduction of a 5-day week for all banks, along with reduction of cash transaction hours.
